Clarendon County Fire Rescue would like to thank Camp Woodie for the opportunity to present Stop the Bleed and fire safety information today! As they prepare for camp season next week, we provided them with vital tools they need to handle medical and fire emergencies until first responders arrive.

The counselors had the opportunity to engage in hands on skills practice alongside classroom instruction, ensuring they were confident and prepared. Your commitment is commendable, and we are honored to support you in creating a safe environment for everyone at camp! 🚒🚑⛺️

There was a packed training room on Tuesday night as officers and other members of Clarendon County Fire Rescue, volunteer and career, gathered for Command Training. Chief Jason Dennis delivered his presentation, Passionate Leadership in Fire and Emergency Services. This presentation highlighted a variety of different leadership traits and styles including powerful videos illustrating that failure is simply a part of trying.

Chief Dennis also shared photos of leaders which have inspired many of us, recognizing Chief Carter Jones, Chief Frances Richbourg, and Chief Michael Johnson.

A special moment of the evening was the recognition of Chief Jones who has left a mark on many lives. He celebrates 60 years in the fire service, beginning his career with The City of Manning Fire Department. His dedication and commitment are truly exceptional and serve as an inspiration to us all. Chief Jones also shared the story of Chief Louis Behrens, providing us with insights into the history of the fire service.

Together, we will continue to learn, grow, and inspire one another. Here’s to many more years of passionate leadership. Thank you everyone who attended and those who prepared the meal!
