Hwy. 290 East, approximately 12 miles east of the University of Texas campus. The City of Manor was established in the mid to late 1800s and by the early 1900s was a hub for the central Texas cotton and railroad industries. Today, the Manor community has become a hub for the central Texas technology industry, with technology giants such as Applied Materials and Samsung, among others, listed on the

ir tax role. The City of Manor has a population of almost 10,000 people; however a number of MISD students live within the city limits of Austin. Since 2003, the District has experienced an explosion of growth and enrollment for 2018-2018 reached 9,109 students up from 3828. Manor High School is a comprehensive public high school serving grades 9-12 and competes in UIL as class 5A.
