The Manor Police Department will launch the Impaired Driving Mobilization (IDM) grant in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT). The targeted enforcement dates are from June 19, 2026 to July 7, 2026.

Under this grant, additional Manor officers will be deployed for each of the dates to watch for impaired drivers operating on local roadways. Nearly 10,000 lives are lost every year in alcohol-related crashes. All of TxDOT’s campaigns are designed to reduce both motor vehicle accidents and the residual effects incurred by motorists. The programs have consistently proven to reduce injuries, fatalities, and property damage along major thoroughfares and around high-collision/high-density intersections. Residents are reminded to drive safely and can take comfort in knowing additional traffic enforcement officers are monitoring local roadways to increase safety.

For more information on the Manor Police Department’s involvement in the state’s various S.T.E.P. programs, contact the agency at 512-272-8177.

THREE MINORS ARRESTED FOR DWI

Manor PD’s DWI Enforcement Unit removed three intoxicated minors from the roadways on Saturday night.

On Saturday, May 30th, Manor PD’s DWI Enforcement Unit conducted three traffic stops between 6pm and 6am resulting in three individuals under the age of 21 being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

🔞 Age Range: 17-20
