Breast cancer impacts both men and women, making this information vital for everyone. This class is designed to raise awareness and provide information on risks, prevention, and common barriers with solutions to getting tested.
Men are strongly encouraged to attend, as they too can be affected and play an important role in supporting loved ones.
Join BMHC, in collaboration with the Sustainable Food Center (SFC), for a FREE special Cooking After Cancer Education Class focused on nutrition, cancer education, and practical ways to support continued wellness.

During the class, Sustainable Food Center will lead a healthy food demonstration, share a recipe participants can recreate at home, and provide groceries to take home at the end of the class.
Arianna Williams, BMHC Community Health Worker and Lead Cancer Prevention Specialist, will provide a condensed breast and colorectal cancer education session. Drawing on her background in nutrition and community health, Arianna will discuss prevention, screening, and the importance of knowing your risk. She will also be available to help eligible participants schedule appointments for free breast or colorectal cancer screenings.
This class goes beyond learning what to eat. It brings nutrition education, cancer awareness, and access to preventive care together in one welcoming community setting.
