In collaboration with Mr. Wilson's North DeSoto High School art class, the Court is honored to display art created by DeSoto Parish students. We are amazed by the talented young people of our parish. If you are at the courthouse, take a few minutes to walk through the first floor and view these works of art. For those who may be unable to stop by in person, we will be highlighting each of the pieces over the next few weeks.

Like many in DeSoto Parish, our staff has been, and many continue to be, without power and water—me included. We are so grateful for the linemen, utility workers, law enforcement, and emergency personnel who have been tirelessly working for days with little to no rest. Our office will be open Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 1:00pm with limited staff and services. Our satellite office in Stonewall and Archives in Mansfield will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

I know you are ready to get away somewhere tropical and warm. However, Passport Application Services will be unavailable Wednesday. Additionally, birth and death certificate services may be limited if the vital records office has any delays or closings.

Again, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we attempt to return to some normalcy and unthaw from Winter Storm Fern.
