Due to the Labor Day holiday, trash and recycling collection will operate on a one‑day delay for the entire week.

Town Hall and all municipal buildings will be closed on Monday,

The Highway Division has scheduled Final Paving, for the Spring, East and High Streets Road Construction Projects for Thursday, August 27th.

Paving will start on Spring Street, to East Street and to end on High Street.

Crews will be onsite at 6:00am and paving is expected to last until 5:00pm. Detail Officers will be on site directing local traffic ONLY. A Road Closure with Detour will be in place. Delays are to be expected so please plan accordingly.

> Expect delays travelling to/from your property

It's time for a quick check in with the Albertini PFAS Treatment building, inside and out.

This project is overseen by Special Projects Manager, Mike Ahern in conjunction with the Mansfield Water Division and its Operations Manager, Shawn Precourt.

Here are the construction projects the Highway Division has scheduled for the month of July:

- East Street: New sidewalk installation of granite and concrete walks. This will be followed by topping road, line painting and landscaping.
- High Street: New granite and concrete walks followed by final paving and landscaping.
- Spring Street: Milling and leveling along with new install of granite and concrete walks from School Street just past Dean Street. This will be followed in August with final pave, line painting and landscaping.
- Downtown sweeping every other Friday.
- Town-wide Line Painting and Crosswalks. IF YOU ARE OUT AND SEE ONE OF THESE LINE PAINTING VEHICLES PLEASE DO NOT PASS. THE TOWN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING OF VEHICLES WHO PASS AT THEIR OWN RISK. LINE PAINTING VEHICLES ARE EQUIPTED WITH WARNING SIGNAGE AND CAMERAS.

The carbon media vessels arrived Friday. These vessels are where the media and the water interact to remove PFAS/PFOA compounds from your drinking water. The tanks will be lowered via crane into the steel building.

Traffic Advisory – Mansfield Municipal Airport Construction
Fruit Street (S. Main to Airport)

Beginning Monday, July 13, the Mansfield Municipal Airport, located at 265 Fruit Street, will begin a major site improvement project involving renovations and upgrades to the airport's runway and taxiway areas.

Residents should expect an increase in heavy truck traffic over the next approximately 90 days as materials are transported to and from the project site. Construction truck traffic will travel from the airport along Fruit Street, then South Main Street, and on to Interstate 495. No truck traffic on Hall Street.

Trucking operations are expected to occur Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of extended hours or Saturday work if needed to meet the project's schedule.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of residents during this important infrastructure improvement project. Please use extra caution when traveling in the area and be mindful of increased construction vehicle traffic.
