🌟 June Spotlight: Sherridan Browning 🌟

We are proud to recognize Sherridan Browning as our June Spotlight!
Since joining the WIOA Youth Program in 2023, Sherridan has shown incredible dedication, persistence, and determination in pursuing a career in the construction industry. While attending Pioneer Career and Technology Center’s Masonry program, he gained hands-on experience through work-based learning with Adena Corporation, earned his forklift certification, and balanced school, training, and employment responsibilities.
This spring, Sherridan graduated from both Pioneer Career and Technology Center and Shelby High School and turned his work-based learning experience into a full-time position with Adena Masonry Contractors! 👏
Sherridan’s journey is a great example of how hard work, support, and believing in yourself can build a strong future.
His advice to other young people:
“It’s okay to seek help when you need it.”
Congratulations, Sherridan! We are excited to see all you accomplish in the skilled trades industry!

We are proud to share that our WIOA Youth Program newsletter was recognized by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services’ Office of Workforce Development as an example of strong program communication and community engagement.

The newsletter was shared with all 88 counties across Ohio, along with workforce development service providers statewide, as a model for effective outreach and communication.

This recognition reflects the hard work of our WIOA Youth Program team, community partners and business owners who help create opportunities for youth and families throughout our community.

Thank you as well to DRM Productions for their assistance in professionally designing and producing the newsletter each quarter.

Stronger Together in Richland County!
We’re grateful to have welcomed Taylor Crider from the Domestic Violence Shelter to present to our AOD Team. This vital community service is an important resource for the individuals and families we serve across Richland County.
The presentation sparked meaningful conversation and collaboration, reinforcing how critical it is to stay connected with community partners to better support those in need.
