We want to let residents know that the loud noise coming from the wastewater treatment plant is due to the system purging air. This is a normal process, and there is no cause for concern.

The system should correct itself shortly, and the noise will subside. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Update on the bear in town, it is out of the tree and headed west behind the park by city hall and hopefully headed out of town.

PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!! The City of Mansfield, Mansfield Police Department, and the Huntington Police Department are actively working to safely move a bear out of city limits. Arkansas Game and Fish are on their way to assist. Please avoid the area from Huntington Ave and Grove St. to Walnut St. until further notice. If you see a bear do not approach it. Immediately contact the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office @ 479-783-1051 or call 911.
