EBT CARD LOCK OPTIONS HELP SECURE BENEFITS
Starting May 13, SNAP EBT cards will automatically default to a “block high‑risk transactions” setting. Cardholders will need to unlock their card before making any out‑of‑state or online purchases. This security enhancement also applies to the Summer EBT/Sun Bucks program.

After unlocking the card, cardholders are encouraged to relock it right away. They will be prompted to choose an automatic relock time of 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
