Mock Rd, between Ritter and St Rt 97.
Butler-Newville.
Bunkerhill North, between Butler-Newville and St Rt 95.

Hazel Brush Rd, between Plymouth-Pringmill and Bowman also remains closed.

County crews are out working on flooding/highwater issues in the southern part of the county this morning. Please use caution when traveling and be patient with all those working on or along the roadways.

Current County Road Closures:

Hazel Brush, between Plymouth-Springmill and Bowman - flood damage to a culvert. Will remain closed until repairs can be made.

London East, between Fackler and Ganges-Five Points - flooded roadway

Champion, between London West and Hazel Brush - flooded roadway

Rome South, between Ganges East and St Rt 603 - flooded roadway

There are many other locations with standing water on the roadways. Please use extra caution when traveling and do not drive through floodwaters.

**Upcoming Township Road Closure**

McNaul Road, between Vantilburg Rd and St Rt 603 in Weller Township, will be CLOSED on Wednesday (3/25/26) and Thursday (3/26/26) between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. School bus traffic will be maintained. The closure will allow for tree removal for an upcoming bridge replacement project.

**County Road Closure Notice**

Lexington-Springmill Road, between Home Rd and Marion Ave Road in Troy Township, will be CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC on Tuesday (3/17/26), Wednesday (3/18/26), and Thursday (3/19/26) between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Buses and Emergency Vehicle traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The closure will allow for tree clearing for the upcoming intersection improvement project.

Our hearts pour out to the family, friends, and coworkers of Jordan Thomas. Please SLOW DOWN and RESPECT those working on our roadways! Please contact the Columbus Police if you or anybody you know has any information that may help locate the person responsible.

Over the weekend, Jordan Thomas, a Kokosing Construction employee, was tragically struck and killed on I-70/71 in downtown Columbus.

Anyone with information that could help identify the driver is asked to contact the Columbus Division of Police or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.

Our thoughts are with Jordan’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

**County Road Closure**

Marion Avenue Road, between Millsboro West Rd and Sherman Rd in Springfield Township, will be CLOSED between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24. The closure is weather dependent and will allow for tree clearing for an upcoming bridge replacement project.

**Township Road Closure**

Owens Road, between Graham Rd and Lexington-Springmill Rd in Troy Township, will be CLOSED between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on Monday (2/16/26) and Tuesday (2/17/26). The closure is due to work associated with the City of Mansfield's ongoing well waterline replacement project.

**Road Closure Notice**

Poth Road, between Everett Lane and North Trimble Road in Madison Township, is now CLOSED, and will remain closed until further notice. The closure is due to the condition of a bridge. The timeframe for repair or replacement of the bridge is unknown at this time.

The Richland County Highway Department will be out battling Winter Storm Fern. Please be patient and give the crews plenty of room to work. Crews can be much more effective and efficient when there is little to no traffic on the roadways, so please consider staying at home if possible. Cold temperatures and windy conditions will hinder clean-up efforts, so please prepare for hazardous road conditions to persist well after the last snowflake has fallen.

Tomorrow's scheduled road closure for Cook Road, between Mansfield-Washington Rd and Mansfield-Lucas Rd, has been canceled. Crews were able to reinstall the light pole during today's closure.

There are a couple of County Road closures coming up this week:

Bowman Road, between Amoy West Rd and Myers Rd in Franklin Township, will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 8th between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. The closure will allow for tree removal. Access for Emergency and School Bus traffic will be maintained.

Cook Road (eastbound lane only), between Mansfield-Washington Rd and Mansfield-Lucas Rd in Madison Township, will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 8th between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. The closure will allow for the removal of contaminated soil from a recent accident.

AND

Cook Road (eastbound lane only), between Mansfield-Washington Rd and Mansfield-Lucas Rd in Madison Township, will be CLOSED on Friday, January 9th between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. The closure will allow for the re-installation of a light pole that was damaged during the same accident.
