The Mansfield Division of Police is actively investigating a shooting that occurred near North Lake Park on Monday evening, June 15, 2026.
Officers responded to the area of North Lake Park after receiving reports of multiple shots fired. Officers located two unoccupied vehicles near the park entrance that had been struck several times. The area was immediately secured, and a crime scene was established.
Shortly after officers arrived on scene, we were notified that a juvenile victim had arrived at a local hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Detectives responded to the hospital and began their investigation.
During the investigation, officers recovered evidence from the scene, including numerous spent shell casings.
Detectives and crime scene personnel processed the scene, collected evidence, and are reviewing available surveillance footage and video evidence. Investigators are continuing to conduct interviews and follow up on all leads to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
At this time, the investigation remains active, and there are no additional details.
