โš ๏ธ SCAM ALERT โš ๏ธ

Residents are reporting fraudulent text messages claiming they owe money for traffic tickets, parking citations, toll violations, or court-related fees. These messages often threaten additional penalties, license suspension, or legal action if payment is not made immediately.

Please remember:
โ€ข Do NOT click suspicious links
โ€ข Do NOT provide personal or banking information
โ€ข Be cautious of urgent demands for payment
โ€ข Official government agencies will not typically request payment through unsolicited text messages

Scammers are using fear and urgency to trick people into sending money or sharing sensitive information.

If you receive one of these messages:
โœ” Delete the text
โœ” Block the sender
โœ” Verify any claims directly through official court or government websites or phone numbers

Help protect others by sharing this post and reminding friends and family to stay alert.

๐Ÿ€ NOTHING BUT NET AND COMMUNITY! ๐Ÿ€

Today, the Chief and Officer Davison laced up and hit the court against the talented students at Legacy Academy for a friendly game of basketball! ๐Ÿš”โžก๏ธ๐Ÿ€

Spoiler: the kids may have had a huge energy advantage... but we had heart!

A huge shoutout and thank you to the staff and students at Legacy Academy for welcoming us! Events like these remind us why community connection is at the heart of everything we do.

To "The Old Guys," you showed up and showed out. We're proud of you. ๐Ÿ’ช

Donโ€™t forget to look at some of the other โ€œOld Guysโ€ from the community (Commissioner Vero, County Auditor Pat Dropsey, Mansfield City Engineer Bob Bianchi, Basketball legend Joe Jakubick, and more!)

We look forward to doing it again! ๐Ÿ™Œ

National Police Week | May 11โ€“17, 2026

This week, our entire community pauses to remember, and to honor, the men and women who wear the badge with courage, sacrifice everything to keep others safe, and who sometimes do not come home.
To our Mansfield community, we ask you to hold close in your hearts four extraordinary officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their names are forever etched in the legacy of this department and this city.

OFFICER JOHN ENGLEHART JR.
End of Watch August 7, 1893

LIEUTENANT WILLIAM J. TAYLOR
End of Watch February 26, 1949

OFFICER MICHAEL R. HUTCHISON
End of Watch February 6, 1976

OFFICER BRIAN D. EVANS
End of Watch December 26, 2007

Each of these officers left behind families, friends, and colleagues who carry their memory every single day. To the families, your loved one's sacrifice is never forgotten. This community stands with you, always.
We are also deeply grateful for every officer serving today; those who answer the call, often in the most difficult of moments, because they believe in something greater than themselves.
