Our second Community Enrichment Grant application deadline of 2026 is Friday, July 31.

Community Enrichment Grants are open to all types of projects with no restrictions on scope or focus, with funding requests up to $10,000. Early submissions are encouraged to allow time for review and feedback.

Nonprofits are encouraged to visit OBCF.org/grants for detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria, and the application portal.

Congrats to the 53 students who recently received the news that their Outer Banks Community Foundation scholarships have been renewed.

We are proud of these students for working hard at college, and continuing to meet the qualification requirements of their scholarships.

Their 61 renewable scholarships total $164,950.

Congrats to our 8 Cape Hatteras Secondary School scholarship recipients!

Fourteen scholarship awards to these students total $33,900. Eight of the fourteen scholarships are renewable, making a potential additional commitment of $54,000 to these students over the next four years.

This summer, the Ruby Bridges Foundation is hosting Camp Bridges OBX, a weeklong overnight camp for children ages 8–12, taking place July 12–17 at the Eastern 4-H Center in Eastern North Carolina. Every child attends on a full scholarship.

Camp Bridges is rooted in Ruby’s story. At six years old, she walked into a school that did not want her there, and in doing so, helped change the course of our country. What we carry forward from that moment is simple but powerful: courage, empathy, and the belief that young people can lead us somewhere better.

At camp, kids spend their days outdoors, working together, trying new things, and building friendships that cross the lines that too often divide us. It’s fun, it’s active, and underneath it all, it’s about helping children grow in confidence, feel a sense of belonging, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

The Outer Banks Swinging Mullets will kick off their season at 6pm THIS Saturday (May 23) at the First Flight Complex in Kill Devil Hills with OBX Locals Night! ⚾️🍿

As part of OBX Locals Night, local residents can enjoy discounted admission with a Dare County ID, and a portion of ticket sales will benefit the Outer Banks Community Foundation.
