Please see this message from County Clerk Steve Peter. If you requested a vote by mail ballot they have begun to be sent to voters. If you do not receive yours, please contact the Clerk's office. This year it is critical that ballots are returned using the safe and secured drop boxes and not regular mail. Manville's box is located at Borough Hall but you can use any secured box in the County or drop it off in person at the Board of Elections. No matter how you plan to vote, make sure you have a plan and VOTE!!!!
Vote-by-Mail ballots have been sent to everyone who requested one. If you do not receive yours by October 9, please contact my office at 908-231-7013. You can come into my office at 20 Grove Street in Somerville (free parking in the deck off High Street) and get a ballot on the spot.
In mid-October, we will be mailing sample ballots to all voters. This has led to the false rumor that I mail live ballots to everyone, even voters who have not requested Vote-by-Mail ballots. Sample ballots are just that: a sample to show voters what is on the ballot. Sample ballots are not Vote-by-Mail ballots, and sample ballots cannot be voted. The exact timing of this mailing is determined by the Board of Elections, which is separate from my office. Sample ballots are also posted on my website.
If you receive a sample ballot for someone no longer at your address, please mark it as such and return it. This ensures that the voter rolls are kept up to date.

Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, my staff is always available to help! Feel free to contact us at 908-231-7013 or [email protected].
