Prior to today's severe thunderstorm risk, it will be yet another hot and humid day with highs in the low to mid 90s in many areas. Tuesday through Thursday won't be quite as hot, then much more pleasant conditions are expected for Friday and Saturday. Remain weather aware today! ⛈️

08/07/2026

⚠️⛈️ The risk for severe thunderstorms has increased for late this afternoon and evening, especially along and northwest of I-95. Any storms could be capable of producing locally damaging winds and heavy rainfall which could lead to flash flooding. Remain alert for changing weather conditions this afternoon and evening.

Prior to any storms developing, it will be another hot and very humid day, with heat indices near 100° in many areas by this afternoon. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you must spend extended time outdoors.

08/06/2026

🥵⛈️ An extended period of hot and, most notably, very humid conditions begins today. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, but very high humidity will cause heat indices in the upper 90s to low 100s. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you must spend extended time outdoors.

Scattered afternoon and evening showers/storms along and NW of I-95 could produce localized flash flooding and damaging wind gusts. NEVER drive through flooded roads! Similar weather conditions expected each day through early next week, though Sunday does look dry area wide.
