Huge thank you to Dr Paul Peterson from OMS Specialists: Oral Surgery, Dental Implants & Wisdom Teeth Removal! He volunteered his time to give our department education on facial traumas and airway complications - a niche but very important area of EMS. Dr. Peterson was a firefighter himself in Golden Valley and has a deep appreciation for first responders. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge tonight! 🧠

Fun Fact: our department is 100% volunteer run! This includes the chiefs, captains, ambulance director, etc. That’s a lot of heart and commitment in one building. ❤️

Today is Volunteer Firefighters Recognition Day, and we're honoring the dedicated men and women who selflessly serve their communities.

Volunteer firefighters respond to emergencies at all hours, train year-round, and sacrifice time with their families to help others when they're needed most.
