Way to go Washington!! Thank you for your steadfast efforts in creating more equitable access to forest kindergarten programs for young children.

We are excited to announce that Washington is now the first state in the nation to permanently license outdoor, nature-based child care for preschool and school-age children under a new law signed by Governor Jay Inslee today. DCYF launched the Outdoor Preschool Pilot in 2017, which allowed us to learn what it takes to provide a high-quality outdoor program.
