🚨 WE’RE STILL LOOKING! 🚨

The Mapleton Volunteer Fire Department is still looking for someone to step up and serve as our Volunteer Treasurer!

We haven’t had anyone come forward yet, so we’re putting the call out again!

You do not need to be a firefighter to fill this role. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, organized, trustworthy, and willing to help support our department behind the scenes.

The Treasurer helps with things like:
• Processing deposits and payments
• Maintaining financial records
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Receipts and record retention
• Budgeting and financial planning
• Working with our accountant/auditor
• Supporting fundraising activities
• Annual donation letters and grant acknowledgments
• Department records and new member paperwork

Our department meets on the 2nd and last Monday of each month, and this is a great way to make a meaningful difference in our community without having to respond to fire calls.

Calling all young fire safety heroes! 🚒

The Mapleton Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a FREE Children’s Fire Safety Session during Fire Prevention Night!

Designed for kids ages 3–9, children will get to:
🔥 Meet firefighters and learn about their gear
🚨 Hear what a smoke alarm sounds like
🏠 Learn the importance of having two ways out
📞 Practice how to call 9-1-1
🚒 Explore a fire truck and meet the people who help keep our community safe

🚒 Better equipment. Better protection. Better prepared for the calls ahead. 🚒

Big things are happening behind the scenes, and we are getting ready to put some brand-new SCBAs (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) into service! 🙌

Thanks to grant funding and the support of our community, we have received the funds needed to make this important upgrade a reality. We are currently working with a couple of companies to finalize the remaining grant details, but the equipment has arrived and we are getting everything ready for training and implementation.

New SCBAs are a huge investment in firefighter safety and will help ensure our members have reliable, up-to-date equipment when responding to emergencies.

We are incredibly thankful for the partnerships, grant opportunities, and community support that continue to help us improve our department and better serve Mapleton and the surrounding area. 🚒🔥
