As spring has sprung, we've been noticing a significant number of dead trees around town. The Public Works team will be dedicating time each year to removing the over 200 dead trees in town. If you see them at work on your street please give them a little extra space to work so they can be as efficient as possible.

Residents, we have been told of a recent email scam going around where someone is posing as a Mapleton employee asking for additional large sums of money for their building permits. Please note, we would not ask for additional payment beyond the fees stated on the building permit application form and we would never approach you from an email address other than our official .gov email addresses. Additionally there is NO online payment option for building permit fees. If you are asked to pay online, immediately disregard. If you have any questions or want to confirm any correspondence you have received, please give us a call or stop in at City Hall.
