CADET NIGHT: Are you seeking a future in law enforcement? Are you between the ages of 14-20?
If so, the Marana Police Department is recruiting for Cadets. We will be holding an orientation night where you can learn more about the program on Wednesday February 7th at 6:30pm at our main station located at 11555 W Civic Center Dr in our Community Room.

The Cadet program (formerly known as the explorer program) is new to Marana Police Department and we are excited to see the interest we will get from young adults interested in a career in law enforcement.

What to expect at the orientation?
You can expect to hear from past explorers who will talk about their experience on the program and how it has benefited them in their careers.

You can speak with officers who will be advisors for the program.

You can speak with officers in different specialty units.

Static displays will be set up by different specialty units.

Parents are encouraged to attend as well.

Applications will be available.

The Marana Police Department Explorer Post 77 is happy to announce open recruitment for new recruits who are interested in learning about law enforcement while serving their community.

Our program will provide the Explorer with hands-on, real-world law enforcement experiences through training taught by police officers and by participating in ride-alongs with our officers.

As an Explorer, you will learn:
-Self-discipline
-Self-confidence
-Self-respect
-Leadership skills
-Teamwork and the desire to help others

Qualifications:
-14-20 years of age (must be enrolled in high school or home-schooled)
-Have NO arrest or convictions that would prohibit employment as a police officer
-Be in good physical health and be able to participate in physical activities
-Must maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average while in school
-Must be able to attend weekly meetings and one weekend training a month.

Hi everyone! Marana Police Explorer Post 77 is getting ready to gear up and get the explorer program going. We are looking for teens who are motivated, and have interest in a Law Enforcement Career. We will be out at Crossroads Park this Friday for National Night Out and available to answer any questions you may have about our explorer program. See you there!

We are still unable to meet as a program, but we are always available for questions, comments, concerns, or needs that anyone has. We miss everyone so much and can’t wait to see you all again.
