New Marana Middle School 7th graders: Get ready for middle school this July at MMS Falcon Camp! Marana Middle School’s Falcon Summer Camp is a free four-day program to help students feel confident and prepared for their transition to middle school. Students will explore campus, meet teachers and staff, practice class transitions, and make new friends before the school year begins.

July 20–23, 2026 at MMS
8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. daily
🍎 Breakfast & lunch provided
🚌 Transportation available from participating feeder schools

Marana Middle School’s Falcon Camp will be held July 20–23, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. This free four-day program is designed to help incoming 7th graders feel comfortable and prepared for middle school. Students will tour the campus, practice class transitions, meet future teachers, and build friendships with fellow Falcons. Breakfast, lunch, and transportation from most feeder schools will be provided.

Uncovering the History of Marana Schools

In this year’s issue of the Horizon, the District's print magazine, we dug into the history of Marana Schools over the past 115 years. From scattered board-and-canvas classrooms serving railroad and farming communities, to the Marana High School we know it today opening in 1975 way off Emigh Road, to junior high students being the first class of students to enroll at Mountain View in the late 80s, our history highlights the good that can happen when communities support their local public K-12 schools. Take a minute to learn all about the history of and the community we call home!

From Ms. Salazar and the students of the K-Wing:

And the winner of the 2025 House Cup is... 🏆✨ HUFFLEPUFF ✨🏆 with an incredible 1,970 points!

Final standings:
🦁 Gryffindor – 1,643 points
🦅 Ravenclaw – 1,465 points
🐍 Slytherin – 960 points

Students earned house points throughout the year by making positive choices, showing kindness, and putting forth extraordinary effort in their academics.

We are incredibly proud of all of our houses and the growth our young witches and wizards have shown this year. While we are sad to see our 1st years move on to their secondary (high school) placements, we know they are ready for their next magical adventure.

We look forward to welcoming our new wizards in training next year and having our returning 2nd year wizards lead by example.

Congratulations to our Third Quarter Scholar Baller recipients! These athletes from Boys Soccer, Girls Basketball and Wrestling worked hard in practice, at games/meets and in the classroom. Each student received a perfect 4.0 during the third quarter of school.
