MCAT High School MCAT High School is one of 20 Marana schools challenging students to achieve academic and personal excellence!

Our school team is committed to helping all students earn a high school diploma regardless of previous school experience. Students enrolled at MCAT High School come from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles, but all of them thrive in the smaller setting and faster paced courses. We offer a fully accredited learning environment, for 11th and 12th grade students, with a more flexible program

of study than in a traditional school learning environment. This high school is not only intended to accommodate students who are considered at risk of failing academically, but also students of all academic levels and abilities who are better served by a non-traditional program.

Uncovering the History of Marana Schools

In this year’s issue of the Horizon, the District's print magazine, we dug into the history of Marana Schools over the past 115 years. From scattered board-and-canvas classrooms serving railroad and farming communities, to the Marana High School we know it today opening in 1975 way off Emigh Road, to junior high students being the first class of students to enroll at Mountain View in the late 80s, our history highlights the good that can happen when communities support their local public K-12 schools. The MCAT High School Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place tonight, Wednesday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Marana Middle School.

📚 to our LETRS Certification Graduates! 🎉📚

proudly recognizes an incredible group of teachers who recently completed their Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) Certification, strengthening literacy instruction and student support across our schools.

The LETRS certification is a nationally recognized professional learning program grounded in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy practices. Through this training, teachers gain research-based strategies and tools to better support literacy development for all students. The LETRS certification is one pathway for achieving the new literacy endorsement mandated by the State of Arizona.

Teachers who completed the program shared that LETRS has strengthened their confidence in literacy instruction, reading interventions, and supporting student growth.
