Join us TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. at Curry Hammock State Park to learn how YOU can help protect, preserve, and support some of the most beautiful places in Florida. 🌿🐢☀️

Whether you can give a couple of hours a week or several days, there’s a place for you! From helping with events and projects to welcoming visitors or simply sharing your love of our parks—every hour makes a difference. 💚

You’ll also have a chance to learn more about our Citizen Support Organization (CSO), Friends of the Islamorada Area State Parks, and how this local group works alongside our state parks to support, enhance, and promote these incredible public spaces.

And the best part? Park entry is FREE for anyone attending tonight’s meeting! 🎉

🌿 Join us this Friday, August 7, at 9:00 a.m. for a guided kayak adventure at Long Key State Park! 🛶

Discover the beauty of the Florida Keys from the water as you paddle through crystal-clear shallows, seagrass beds, and mangrove-lined shorelines. Along the way, our park rangers will share fascinating insights about the park's unique coastal ecosystems, local wildlife, and the importance of protecting these incredible natural habitats.

Whether you're an experienced paddler or trying kayaking for the first time, this ranger-led tour is a wonderful way to connect with nature and experience Long Key from a whole new perspective.

🌊 Join Coast Love & Long Key State Park for a shoreline Cleanup at Long Key State Park! 🌊

Mark your calendars for August 15th and help us protect one of the Florida Keys' beautiful shorelines!

Keeping our beaches clean is important because it:
🩵 Protects marine life from harmful litter and plastics.
🌿 Preserves natural habitats for wildlife.
🌎 Prevents trash from entering our oceans and waterways.
🏖️ Keeps our beaches beautiful and safe for everyone to enjoy.

🌎✨ Join us tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. for a special ranger-led hike in celebration of Earth Day!

We’ll explore a 1.5-mile trail through uneven terrain as we journey into a rare and unique rockland hammock.
Did you know this park is one of the few remaining undisturbed upland sites in the Middle Keys and protects one of the largest populations of thatch palms in the United States? 🌴

Get ready for an adventure! Be sure to bring water, wear closed-toe shoes, and consider bug spray and sunscreen.

We can’t wait to explore with you! 🌿

Afterwards we will meet at Long Key State Park at noon for a ranger led hike along the 1.1 mile nature trail which winds through four different natural communities.
