📢 Marathon City Fun Days Weekend is Here! 🎉

As we celebrate another great Marathon City Fun Days, please be aware of the following street closures and traffic impacts:

🚧 Chestnut Street • Closed between 3rd Street and 4th Street beginning at 12:00 PM today • Reopens Monday, September 7

🚧 4th Street • Closed between Washington Street and East Street • Beginning 4:00 PM Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7

🚗 New This Year • 4th Street from Market Street to Washington Street • Closed on Sunday, September 6 for the car show

🎈 Labor Day Parade Detour • Main Street (STH 107) between 1st Street and 8th Street will be detoured during the 1:00 PM Labor Day Parade

🅿️ Parking Notice • Parking in the 400 Block Village lot will not be permitted this year due to construction • Temporary signage will be posted

We encourage everyone to plan ahead, watch for posted signs, and be patient as we welcome residents and visitors to this annual community tradition.

🏛️ Employee Appreciation Day 🏛️

Today we took time to thank the Marathon City Village Staff for their hard work and dedication to our community.

We also want to recognize and thank our intern, Connor, as he completes his time with the Village and returns to college. We appreciate his contributions this summer and wish him continued success in his education and future career. 🎓

⚠️ UTILITY PROJECT NOTICE – HEINDL LANE & SONNENTAG LANE

On Monday, August 24, Village crews will replace broken water valves near Heindl Lane and Sonnentag Lane.

During this work:

* Some customers may experience low water pressure.
* Notices were sent to property owners on Friday afternoon that we expect their water service temporarily shut off during this repair.
* Traffic may be restricted near the project area.

Please avoid driving in this part of the Village tomorrow, if possible. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while this necessary repair is completed.
