We were so excited to be able to give SIX Marathon High School graduates a $1,000 “Fred the Tree Scholarship” this year! 🎓 5 given directly from Bayshore Clothing and a full 6th scholarship given through donations, so a big THANK YOU to our amazing community!!🤩

The purpose of this scholarship is to support local youth who have shown perseverance in the face of life’s challenges. Each applicant submitted an essay about overcoming difficult circumstances, while continuing to excel both academically and in their community involvement.

As a family of MHS graduates, we’re honored to help these students continue to grow and thrive, just like Fred ❤️ For those asking to donate towards next years scholarships, you can find the link in the comments!

We are *so close* to being able to add an additional scholarship to be awarded to a local graduating senior next week! As of today, we are excited to be awarding 5 $1000 scholarships, but we have 37 deserving local student applicants, so we would love to add to that number of recipients if possible! Every amount big or small adds up!!

For the past two years, we've had the honor of awarding scholarships to local students who show incredible resilience in the face of life's challenges-just like Fred.

As great as it feels to hand out each scholarship, we wish we could give even more students that extra support!

That's why, after many requests, we've officially created Friends of Fred 501(c)(3), allowing others to help us invest in even more of these very bright futures. 🤗

This year Bayshore Clothing is contributing $5000 in scholarships to graduating seniors who have been accepted to a college or trade school. 100% of any additional contributions made will be added to that amount, going directly to hard working students who truly deserve it.

Because it really does take a village, and we have an amazing one. ❤️
