New milestones are being reached at MASA!

Paul Fredrickson hit 3000 miles in the pool in July 2026 to become the third member of the Marathon Area Swim Association’s 3000 mile club.

Paul and his family became members of MASA in 2003. In 2009 Paul started swimming laps, and in December, 2011 he joined MASA’s 500 mile club and has never stopped his swim journey.

MASA loves to see the commitment and energy Paul brings to lap swimming in the morning. Swimming is such a lifelong skill that can be fun and offer great fitness aspects because of the resistance of the water, yet easy on the body’s joints. Whether a proficient swimmer or not, lap swimming is a great way to independently exercise at almost any time of the day.

MASA looks forward to seeing more milestones reached by Paul in the future.

Due to water and septic work being done in the Village of Marathon, MASA will be closed Wednesday, June 3rd from 7:30am-4:00pm.
