Mosquito activity increases dramatically, especially in your own yard.
Here are FIVE common locations where FL Keys Mosquito Control Inspectors find mosquito activity after a rain.

1. Trash cans.

2. Buckets.

3. Watercraft.

4. Potted plants.

5. Toys.

Check your surroundings for any of these items and/or contact FKMCD at keysmosquito.org and we'll be glad to assist.

FKMCD an Aerial Liquid Larvicide treatment using Bti+water.
Has been scheduled for SATURDAY, 6/6/26, Between 6:30 am & 9:30 am over:
1. KEY WEST
Bti is a larvicide derived from soil bacteria that only affects mosquito larvae. It is mixed with water and applied as a very fine mist via FKMCD helicopter. This treatment is effective for preventing all types of mosquito development including the Aedes aegypti which is the prime vector for Dengue Fever in the Florida Keys. It is particularly effective after a significant rain.
