🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT – US HIGHWAY 281 NORTH 🚨

US Highway 281 North is currently CLOSED to through traffic at the intersection of FM 1855, due to a hazardous materials (HAZMAT) spill resulting from a motor vehicle collision.

Emergency personnel are on scene, and the roadway will remain closed until cleanup operations are completed and the area is deemed safe for travel.

⚠️ There is currently no estimated time for reopening.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area, seek alternate routes, and use caution when traveling near the affected location.

We appreciate the public's patience and cooperation as crews work to safely reopen the roadway.

UPDATE 2: Roadway back open.

UPDATE 1: All of US Hwy 281 between Resource Pkwy and PR 4 will be inaccessible for several hours. Please attempt to use alternate routes.

Officers and emergency personnel are currently on scene of a major collision at the intersection of N US Hwy 281 and FM 1855. Traffic in the area is expected to be heavily impacted for an extended period of time while crews work to investigate the crash and safely clear the roadway.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and seek an alternate route if possible. Please use caution when driving near the scene and obey all traffic control devices and directions from first responders.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation and will provide updates as they become available.

This Thursday - Let’s Go Pink! Round up your family, friends, neighbors, and your favorite Super Heroes and head to Harmony Park this Thursday, October 15, from 5:30–7:30 PM for Pink Out Marble Falls!

This community event is packed with music, games, activities, fair food, and plenty of pink, plus a little extra Super Hero spirit this year!

Pink Out Marble Falls is about honoring ALL cancer warriors, past and present, and showing support for the families, friends, caregivers, and loved ones who have walked or are walking that journey.

We also want to thank Mustang Ridge Estates HOA and FLATZ 830 Apartments for hosting National Night Out gatherings for their residents. We appreciate you helping bring neighbors and first responders together throughout our community! 💙
