Join us in congratulating Sergeant Matt Horner on being named Supervisor of the Year.
For the past nine years, Matt has served the Marble Falls community with dedication and purpose as a Patrol Sergeant with the Marble Falls Police Department. A Master Peace Officer and graduate of Texas State University, he brings both experience and leadership to every aspect of his role. From being named Officer of the Year in 2017 to receiving a lifesaving award in 2019, his commitment to service has consistently stood out.
As the coordinator of the department’s Field Training Program, Matt plays a critical role in shaping the future of MFPD. He leads with a team-first mindset, ensuring new officers are prepared, supported, and set up for success from day one. His approachable leadership style creates an environment where officers feel valued, heard, and confident in their work.
Matt leads by example through integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of accountability. He is known for stepping in wherever needed, supporting both his team and fellow supervisors, and consistently going above and beyond to serve both the department and the community.
We are grateful for his leadership, his commitment to developing others, and the pride he takes in serving Marble Falls. Congratulations, Matt, on this well-deserved recognition.
