On Monday, December 15th, 2025, Chief McMichael and the city of Marble Hill presented Lieutenant Wheeler with the 2025 officer of the year award. DEPARTMENT STATISTICS!!

The Marble Hill Police Department had the following statistics from October 20th, 2025, to November 17th, 2025:

Traffic stops- 67
Domestics/Disturbances- 3
Arrests-10
Tickets issued- 81
Total calls for service- 140

In addition to the department statistics, we would also like to make the public aware of an individual traffic stop.

On Saturday, November 15th, 2025, Lieutenant Wheeler conducted a traffic stop on a silver Ford Ranger that was displaying a license plate that was expired from May 2024. The driver and sole occupant of the truck was identified as Donald Luttrull. Donald was found to have a revoked Missouri driver’s license, and his truck did not possess insurance. During the traffic stop, Donald was also found to be in possession of a White crystallized rock substance that field tested positive for Methamphetamine. Donald was placed under arrest and transported to the Bollinger County Jail to be booked and processed. An arrest warrant was issued for Donald for possession of controlled substance and driving while revoked, both felonies. A bond was set at $15,000.00 cash or surety.
All persons are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

We would also like to highlight an individual traffic stop. As you may or may not have noticed, Main Street near Sample Street has acquired some new black marks. On Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at approximately midnight, Lieutenant Wheeler conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was doing burn outs on Main Street, in the city limits of Marble Hill. The driver, identified as Levi Adams-Kirkpatrick, showed visible signs of impairment. Levi admitted to consuming approximately “8 beers” at the bar prior to being stopped. After performing field sobriety, Levi was placed under arrest, processed, and released with summonses for careless driving and DWI-Alcohol. Our officers remain committed to removing impaired and careless drivers from our roadways.

MO DOT ROAD CONSTRUCTION 51SOUTH/34WEST INTERSECTION!!

As most of the community is aware by now, a MO DOT road construction project will be taking place for the next several months in the city of Marble Hill. The Marble Hill Police Department would like to make the community aware of some temporary direction changes sanctioned by MO DOT that impact some Marble Hill city streets.

Railroad Street- reduced to one way traffic going from Main Street toward Union Street.

Magnolia Street- reduced to one way traffic going toward Main Street.

Union Street- reduced to one way traffic going toward First Street.

Crown Street- reduced to one way, coming from First Street going towards Lutesville Ford.

MO DOT has placed signs to indicate the temporary direction changes. Please PAY ATTENTION to all road signs and USE CAUTION to keep everyone safe during this project.

PUBLIC INFORMATION!!!

On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at approximately 8 P.M. the Marble Hill Police Department responded to the Bollinger County Fall Festival in the city of Marble Hill for a report of an attempted kidnapping. The victim advised he was walking to his vehicle with his young daughter in his arms and two male subjects approached him from behind. The victim advised one of the subjects attempted to take his daughter from his arms. The Victim described the suspect that attempted to take his child as being a white male with short facial hair. The Marble Hill Police Department takes all matters seriously, especially matters that endanger our youth. Anyone with information that may aid in this investigation is encouraged to contact the Marble Hill Police Department at 573-238-2970. DRUG ARREST!!

On Saturday, September 20th,2025 at approximately 9:48 P.M., Lieutenant Wheeler conducted a traffic stop with a Red Ford passenger car that was stopping in multiple drive ways along Englehart Lane, exhibiting suspicious behavior. The Ford passenger car was also un registered at the time of the stop and did not have valid insurance. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Darla Rohan. During the course of the traffic stop, Darla was found to be in possession of a white crystal substance that field tested positive for Methamphetamine. Darla was placed under arrest and transported to the Bollinger County Jail for booking. An arrest warrant was issued for Darla, for possession of a controlled substance and a bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION!!

Senate bill 669:

The Marble Hill Police Department would like to inform the community about a change in Missouri law, senate bill 669, which officially took effect on August 28th, 2025.

The legislation creates a new offense under Missouri revised statute 574.207, titled interference with a first responder. The law is designed to create extra protection for first responders including police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel, while they are performing their lawful duties.

Under the statute, a person commits the offense of interference with a first responder when, after receiving a clear verbal warning not to approach, the person knowingly and willfully comes within 25 feet of a first responder who is actively engaged in their legal duties with the intent to:

1. Impede or interfere with the first responder’s ability to perform those duties.
2. Threaten the first responder with physical harm.
3. Engage in conduct that intentionally causes emotional distress to the first responder and serves no legitimate purpose.

This offense is classified as a class A misdemeanor.

The Marble Hill Police Department encourages the community to be aware of this change to Missouri law. Community cooperation is essential in ensuring that first responders can safely and effectively serve and protect.

The City of Marble Hill fall clean up will be October 6th-10th, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday- 7am-4pm
Wednesday and Thursday- 9am-6pm

Fall clean up will be held at the ball park behind the fire station. A list of unacceptable items will be attached for reference. Please make sure all trash is bagged up.

We would also like to highlight a couple individual traffic stops:

On September 6th, 2025, at approximately 23:59 hours, Lieutenant Wheeler conducted a traffic stop with a light colored GMC SUV that was being operated in a careless fashion in the city limits of Marble Hill. The driver was identified as Gildardo Cruz Vasquez. After a brief investigation, Lieutenant Wheeler developed probable cause to arrest Gildardo for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Gildardo later consented to providing a breath sample and his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.164%. Gildardo was released with citations pending his appearance in court.

On September 11th, 2025, at approximately 20:03 hours, Lieutenant Wheeler and Captain Woodard conducted a traffic stop with an older Ford F150 for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Craig Pratt. After a brief investigation, Lieutenant Wheeler and Captain Woodard developed probable cause to arrest Craig for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Craig later consented to providing a breath sample and his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.185%. Craig was released with citations pending his appearance in court.

The Marble Hill Police Department takes driving while intoxicated very seriously. Let this serve as a reminder that our officers are dedicated to removing impaired drivers from our roadways.

INCIDENT INFORMATION!!!

On Monday, September 1st, 2025, at approximately 6:17 P.M., Lieutenant Wheeler responded to a business in the city limits of Marble Hill for a report of shoplifting. During the course of the investigation, Lieutenant Wheeler contacted Dustin Williams of Cape Girardeau, who was in his vehicle in the parking lot. After speaking with Dustin for a short period, Lieutenant Wheeler decided to request a Bollinger County K9 for a free air sniff around the vehicle. The K9 indicated to the odor of narcotics inside the vehicle. A search was conducted. Two large plastic bags of white crystal substance were located along with a digital scale. Both bags of white crystal substance field tested positive for Methamphetamine. Dustin was placed under arrest and transported to the Bollinger County Jail. Dustin was formally charged through the Bollinger County Prosecutor’s Office with the following:

Deliver Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Ma*****na Or Synthetic Cannabinoid- Felony C. An arrest warrant was issued and a bond was set at $30,000 cash or surety.

All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
