Delayed School Opening--Friday March 6, 2026

Dear MCCPS Community,

Due to predicted travel conditions during commuting hours tomorrow, MCCPS will open on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Friday March 6, 2026. The school day will begin at 9:45 a.m., and dismissal will remain at the regular time of 3:00 p.m.

Please note that the building will not open until 9:15 a.m. to receive students, and breakfast will not be served.

Thank you for your flexibility, and please allow extra time for safe travel.

Due to the snow emergency and the blizzard warning, MCCPS will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, 2026. We plan to reopen Wednesday, February 25 at our normal time. Stay safe and enjoy the snow day! ☃️

TONIGHT! 💙💛

Join us at MCCPS for our annual Student Council run Winter Carnival! Come play games, enter raffles, and win fun prizes! Entry is $5, but includes a slice of pizza. Additionally, there will be sweet treats for purchase. 🥰

This event runs from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. MCCPS students are encouraged to bring one non-Charter friend as well, the more the merrier! We hope to see you there!

Our 8th grade parents are hosting a fundraiser for Washington, DC TONIGHT! They'll be at BitBar from 6pm -- 11pm, with all ages welcomed until 8pm. Join the fun at Bit Bar in Salem for a night of games, food, and good vibes! All donations will go towards the 8th Grade trip to Washington, DC in May! We hope you can come out and support this amazing cause!

Additionally, the 8th grade is hosting a pizza sale! Sponsored by Prince's Pizzeria, you can scan the QR code to place your order for delicious pizza you can make at home! Orders are due by January 10th, so make sure you get them in before then!

Happy February everyone! Our first full week back post snow storm, and it's a busy one! Check out our schedule for the week!

TONIGHT, don't miss our first Music Extravaganza of the year! It'll be from 6 - 7:15pm at MCCPS. Admission is FREE, so come see the students show off their hardwork!

Tomorrow, our school wide Spelling Bee will be taking place at the end of the day, from 1:30pm - 2:45pm. Parents and Guardians are welcome to watch!

On Thursday, Feb 5th, the 8th Grade is hosting a fundraiser for their Washington DC Trip at BitBar in downtown Salem! Join them from 6-11pm for games, fun, and to support their cause!

On Friday, February 6th, the MCCPS Student Council hosts their annual Winter Carnival! Taking place at MCCPS, admission is $5, and will include a slice of pizza. Swing by to play games and try your hand at a raffle basket!

This morning, Coach Shane and Nurse Purdy gave a presentation on Boy Bands, encouraging the students to learn more and get excited for our 90s Karaoke Night! We think they did a pretty good job 🤗

Please join us on Friday, January 30th, from 6:00–8:00 PM for a 90s-themed Karaoke Night—a free, all-ages community event!

Sing your favorite 90s hits, dress in your best throwback style, and enjoy a fun evening with friends and family. Dinner will be available to purchase, as well as sweet treats.

This special night is part of our 30th Anniversary Celebration. Since 1995, Marblehead Community Charter Public School has been going strong, and we’re excited to celebrate 30 years of learning, community, and connection with you.

We will also be featuring raffle baskets as a fundraiser, giving our community the opportunity to give back to our students. The raffle baskets will be unveiled on January 30th and will remain open for entries through February 13th.
