Congratulations to Officer Todd Smith, Mayor Starcher swore him in at last evening's Council Meeting as a a part-time officer. Officer Smith is a 25 year veteran of the Sandusky Police Department. Welcome Officer Smith!!

UPDATE ON SCAM POSTED ON 07072026 regarding charges on visitor's credit/debit cards, we received a call today regarding another charge of $25.03, receipiant of the charge was again "Marblehead Police", a little checking by the visitor it was discovered that he had purchased $25.03 in gas at Mickey Mart on E. Harbor Road. Mickey Mart is currently investigating why some charges are showing as Marblehead Police on customer's statements, in lieu of Mickey Mart. We will keep everyone updated as we find out any information.

PLEASE KNOW WE (THE MARBLEHEAD POLICE DEPARTMENT) DO NOT COLLECT MONEY NOR DO WE USE ANY TYPE OF ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS OR DEBITS. THIS APPEARS TO BE HAPPENING WHERE PEOPLE ARE STAYING IN AREA CAMPGROUNDS, IF YOU GET A CHARGE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT, PLEASE CONTACT THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT OR SHERIFF'S OFFICE IN THE AREA OF WHICH YOU STAYED AT.
