Are you looking to learn more about Marblehead? Join Erin on her next two historical walking tours. She will meet interested walkers at the public parking lot next to the conveyor belt.

The Downtown tour covers Downtown Marblehead. You will hear about the progression of our downtown and the impact immigration has on the development of our small town. The tour lasts about 90 minutes and we walk over a mile at a slow pace. Join us on Thursday, August 15th, at 6:30 pm.

The Jamestown tour tells of the rise of Marblehead through the development of the Jamestown area. This tour lasts about 60 minutes and we will walk about a mile at a slow pace. Join us on Saturday morning, August 17th at 9:30am.

The Friends of Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library help our Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library to support the Marblehead and Danbury communities. We read and give a new book to all Danbury Preschool students each month, volunteer at Portage Resale, donate extra library books to the Danbury School Library to support students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade, participate in the Perch Festival parade, and share local history tours and speaking events through the summer. We raise money by selling used books for donations in the vestibule of the Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library and through memberships to our group.
