🧠 Small, everyday choices can make a big difference for your brain!
WebMD recently shared a helpful look at what affects our long-term brain health, and the encouraging news is that many of these factors are within our control. Here are a few brain-healthy habits worth embracing:
🌿 Keep your heart healthy. Good blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar support good blood flow to the brain.
🥗 Fill your plate with fruits and veggies alongside your favorite proteins.
😴 Protect your sleep with a soothing bedtime routine and regular hours.
🚶 Stay active and keep moving every day.
🤝 Stay connected! Spending time with friends and community is one of the best gifts you can give your brain.
That last one is at the heart of what we do at MDR. Our no-cost Your Brain Health Matters program brings people together for brain fitness, games, chair exercise, crafts, shared memories and lunch with friends. 🌴
