Passing of James F. Jackson

The Borough of Marcus Hook extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of former Mayor and Borough Councilor James F. Jackson, who passed away on August 22, 2026. James served as a Borough Councilor in Marcus Hook from 1977 – 1983 and Mayor from 1984 – 1993. James also served on multiple boards and commission during his time residing in the Borough....

Don’t forget our last concert of the summer featuring the Fabulous Greaseband is happening tomorrow night starting at 7:00pm at Market Square Memorial Park. It’s also Marcus Hook Police Department’s National Night Out and The Boss with The Sauce food truck will be on hand! The Rec Grill will be open and they will also be accepting donations for the Back to School Bingo event.

Tonight’s Concert featuring River of Dreams has been postponed until tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 7:00pm at Market Square Memorial Park.

The Rec Dept. will be collecting School Supplies for their Back to School Bingo Event at each concert, or items can be donated at 1111 Market Street.
