MMCRU is currently experiencing issues with our email system and we are not able to send or receive emails through our mmcruroyals.org domain at this time. MMCRU JH is invited to a summer volleyball tournament on Tuesday, July 21st, at Western Christian in Hull for players going into 7th and 8th grade. The team would be guaranteed 4 matches!

The players would be responsible for their own transportation to the tournament, as it is not a part of the regular JH volleyball season.

If your volleyball player is interested in attending the tournament, please reach out to us!

MMCRU Students & Families,

At the May 18th board meeting, the MMCRU School Board approved a new calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. Please discard any calendars prior to May 18th. The biggest change is that 1st semester now ends on January 15th, the PD day for January 4th will now be January 18th, and 2nd semester will now begin January 19th. Our first and last days of school will remain the same. This change was made in response to the change in Iowa law made this year by the Iowa Legislature that would force a second “count date” for Iowa public schools on January 15 of each year, which would negatively impact funding for MMCRU Schools without a change to the school calendar.

The Royals Boy’s Golf season came to an end yesterday in Waterloo. While these gentlemen didn’t finish the way they had hoped, what they accomplished for this program over the last four years has been truly unprecedented.

From Coach Schuttler: “Thank you guys, for everything you’ve given to this team, this program, and this community. It’s been an honor to watch you compete, lead, and represent the Royals with pride. You will all be greatly missed.”

MMCRU Staff, Community Members and Alumni,

As part of ongoing facility updates and improvements, MMCRU will be offering sections of the original Remsen gym floor for purchase to staff, alumni, families and community members.

These pieces provide a unique opportunity to own a part of MMCRU and Remsen-Union history while preserving memories connected to our school and community events over the years.

Standard floor sections will be sold for $3.00 per square foot. Any pieces that include logos or wording will be sold for $6.00 per square foot. Custom sections can be cut based on the size you would like.

All purchased sections must be picked up by Friday, June 5.

Quantities will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
