The Iowa County Health Department has received grant funding through the Public Health Emergency Preparedness program to place an outdoor Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at the Lake Iowa beach area.
The AED is located at the beach to help respond to emergencies involving swimmers, boaters, campers, and other visitors to Lake Iowa. It is stored in a bright yellow locked box with a keypad. In an emergency, people should call 911. The operator will provide the access code so the AED can be used while emergency responders are on the way.
