Beginning May 31st, the Marengo-Union Library will be closed on Sundays. These new hours will be in effect from June through August. Hours of operation can be viewed on our website, but as a reminder:

Monday-Thursday: 9am-8pm
Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 9am-3pm
Sunday: closed

The first Friday of every month we open at 10am. We look forward to seeing you at the Library this summer!

Spots are filling up fast for our first summer program of the year! Register between June 1st - June 15th to pick up a diorama kit to participate in our Barnyard Bash Duck Diorama Challenge. Here's how it works:

🦆 Registration to pick up ducks begins: June 1
🦆Return diorama by: June 15
🦆 Display and community voting: June & July
🦆Pick up projects: August 2-8

There are a limited number of kits available, so please register as early as possible to lock-in your participation. You may do so via our online calendar: https://muld.org/calendar/

Get excited for our upcoming Summer Reading Challenge: Barnyard Book Bash! The program will run from June 8th until July 31st. Pre-registration will begin next week online on Beanstack.com, starting June 1st. There will also be an option to pick up a paper log at the beginning of the program if you'd like to record your hours the old-school way! Here's just a small preview of all of the fun activities we have planned:

🦋Register to build a duck diorama with rubber ducks provided by us! Community voting for the best one will take place later.

🦋A certain sports-loving bear will be visiting the library in June.

🦋Donuts with Dads and kid-friendly target practice in honor of Father's Day.

🦋Get ready to dance...silently!

🦋Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies!

🦋Pet REAL farm animals at the end of July!

Pick up a summer program guide by the Circulation Desk for a full list of programming! Again, we will begin accepting pre-registrations on June 1st, and the program officially begins on June 8th!
