Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week is March 15-21, with March 21 being World Down Syndrome Day. This is a global event based on raising awareness and in celebration of the uniqueness of triplicating of the 21st chromosome, which is what causes Down’s Syndrome. The campaign encourages people to wear socks that are going to get noticed and to get people talking to raise awareness of Downs Syndrome. Graceville School Resource Officer Caleb Segers rocks his socks!

Employee of the Week!

Congratulations to Caryl Marotta on being selected as the Marianna K-8 Employee of the Week! Officer Marotta has served in law enforcement for over 28 years, 10 of those as a deputy sheriff/police officer, and the other 18 years in corrections. Officer Marotta has one of the brightest and funniest personalities on campus. She has established an excellent rapport with our middle school students, providing for any need that may arise. Let’s not even talk about her awesome traffic directing skills! Thank you for keeping us safe, Officer Marotta! We truly appreciate all that you do for us! You truly have a heart for our children.

Thank you to our business partners for providing our weekly reward: A Wild Hair Boutique, Living Life Repurposed, Old U.S. Road Apparel, Woodall’s Total Comfort Systems, Amazing Grace Catery, and the Marianna K-8 VIPs.

K9 Officer Adams and Principal Manning are a great duo when it comes to keeping our Rolling Green Elementary School Lions 🦁safe. Together, they provide heathy learning conditions, by going the distance, literally! 6 feet and facial coverings!
