MARIANNA MAN ARRESTED ON M**H TRAFFICKING CHARGES

Arrestee:
Douglas Harrison W/M 54 YOA
Marianna, FL

Charge: Trafficking in Methamphetamine

On Tuesday August 11, 2026 in the late evening hours, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Hall Street and Lafayette Street. During the traffic stop, Officers conducted a search the vehicle. During the search, Officers located a large quantity of a white rock like substance in the passenger side floor board. After further investigation, the rock like substance was field tested and tested positive for Methamphetamine.

The passenger, who was identified as Douglas Harrison, was placed under arrest. The total weight of the Methamphetamine was 128 grams. Due to the weight, Harrison was charged with the above listed charge and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await First Appearance.

**UPDATE**
The traffic light is now operational.

Please be advised that DOT is currently working on the the traffic light at the intersection of Lafayette St. and Jefferson St.

There is currently a DETOUR in the area of Jefferson Street, between JACKSON Street and LAFAYETTE Street. The detour will be closed once the traffic light issue is resolved.

Please use extreme caution when in this area and passing through this intersection.
