As a member of the Maricopa City Council, it was a privilege to meet with the Ak-Chin Council. During this meeting, we discussed shared priorities that affect both the City of Maricopa and Ak-Chin Communities that will serve to strengthen collaboration in the future.

Maricopa and Ak-Chin leaders met to coordinate on emergency response, infrastructure and future growth, signaling stronger regional collaboration.

Your voice matters! Please join me for the Maricopa Community Town Hall Meeting on March 21, 2026 (2:00pm-5:00pm), at the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center. There will be other local leaders participating. This event is sponsored by the Arizona Governor’s Office of African American Affairs. The purpose of this event is to learn about the progress, priorities and initiatives happening within the City of Maricopa!
