Hearing dates, commitment orders, and court deadlines are not suggestions. They are formal commands from the Judge, and there are consequences when you ignore them.

Failure to comply with Court orders often results in warrants, arrest, loss of driving privileges, additional fines, new charges, and/or other other (avoidable) consequences.

"I forgot" and "I'll get to it tomorrow" are not valid legal defenses for failure to comply.

We get it. Emergencies happen.

If there is something preventing you from complying with a Court order, we will usually work with you (within reason) to get you back on track and into compliance, but YOU must take steps and stay in communication with the Court. We will not do the work for you.

Happy National Paralegal Day! August 6 is the nationally recognized day to celebrate paralegals across the United States. This day was chosen because August 6, 1968 is the date the American Bar Association established the Special Committee on Lay Assistants, now known as the ABA Standing Committee on Paralegals, marking an important milestone in the recognition of the paralegal profession.

Did you know that the Western Pinal Justice Court is home to one of the “Maricopa Wild Horses” sculptures? In 2021, horse sculptures were decorated by local artists and displayed around the community. This particular sculpture is titled "Worth Crowing About.” It was created by artist, Susan E. Cameron, and sponsored by Friends and Family of Anthony Smith.

Update from the court:
Thursdays are civil traffic hearing days. While reviewing my calendar, I noticed several citations from DPS for "camping in the left lane." (No, that's not the name of the actual law.) Just wanted to give you all an update because I know this has been requested for a long time, and this is the first I'm seeing it make its way to the court.

Goodbye paper! 👋 The WPJC is going to begin offering digital evidence portals (upon request) in civil, eviction, small claims, orders of protection, and injunction against harassment hearings. Digital Evidence will improve efficiency for the courts and for all litigants presenting evidence. Additional details will be released soon.
