Community, we need your help!

Our neighbors across the river in Parkersburg are battling the massive fire at Peoples Cartage, and the firefighters and first responders on scene are working tirelessly in extremely difficult conditions.

Many generous people are already providing food, so we’re asking for other much-needed supplies to help keep these men and women safe, hydrated, and as comfortable as possible while they continue this fight.

Items that would be especially helpful include:

* Bottled water
* Gatorade, Powerade, or electrolyte drink packets
* Cooling towels
* Baby wipes or body wipes
* Sunscreen
* Lip balm
* Disposable cups
* Individually packaged snacks such as protein bars, trail mix, jerky, crackers, nuts, or fruit snacks
* New work gloves

Donations can be dropped off Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Community Resource Center on Front Street and left with Michelle. All donated items will be coordinated and delivered to the firefighters and first responders.

This is an opportunity for our communities to come together and support those who are risking their own safety to protect others. Every bottle of water, every cooling towel, and every donation makes a difference.

Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. Thank you for showing what our Mid-Ohio Valley community is all about.
