Dyuthi Gurijala has been part of the WIT Girls program since the sixth grade, and last year, she stood on the WIT Awards stage to accept the 2025 Girl of the Year Award.

When her mom first introduced her to Women in Technology (WIT), she couldn't have known what that decision would set in motion: years of connecting with STEM professionals, building friendships with peers who shared her drive, and discovering that her passion for science had a future in technology.

By the time she accepted her award, she already knew what she was going to do with it: "I promise this is going to go places."

That's what WIT Girls does. It doesn't just introduce girls to technology, it shows them what's possible when they're surrounded by people who believe in them.

They built a Magic 8 Ball, pitched a startup to a panel of professionals, and cracked a cybersecurity escape room...all in one week.

Last year, 100+ high school girls from across Georgia spent four days inside Atlanta's top tech companies for WIT Girls Career Exploration Week, and one of them said it best:

"At first, I wasn't sure about pursuing technology since my interests were more aligned with the medical field and business. However, after learning that IT isn't just about technology but also has a business side, I started considering it as a potential career path."

That's exactly why we do this. Real exposure, real conversations, and real confidence-building because sometimes all it takes is seeing it up close.

This July, our girls will be stepping inside Accenture, Cox Enterprises, Fiserv, Improving, Inspiredu, Salesforce, State Farm, Synchrony, Truist, Zebra and more. Stay tuned for the full lineup. 👀

Last night, a room full of women took their first step into something that could change the trajectory of their careers.

Our WIT Early Career Mentorship Program kicked off at Georgia-Pacific, and the energy was amazing. Mentors met mentees, and strangers became connections.

Our panelists set the tone perfectly. Tonicia Kelly, Principal Software Engineer at The Home Depot, reflected on how much has changed since her early career. Her mentors equipped her to navigate the road ahead, and over the years she's watched more women rise into leadership. "Now I can find a woman who is a mentor," she said. That kind of transformation is exactly what this program is about.

Zach Rankin, IT Organizational Effectiveness Manager at Georgia-Pacific, called his mentor Melondy Mina a catalyst who transformed his journey from intern to leader. His advice to the room? "Be curious. Don't be afraid to take up space and ask questions."

A huge thank you to the Georgia-Pacific team, Amber Evans, Alicia Reed, Melondy Mina, Aanchal Saraswat, and Zach Rankin, for making last night possible.

Kassundra Evans didn't think she was going to get the job.

When an IT analyst position at Graphic Packaging came across her radar, self-doubt almost kept her from applying. But with encouragement from WIT Program Director, Emily Louthen, she went for it, and got it! Kassundra came through the WIT Single Mothers Program navigating real obstacles while being the most important person in her son's life. What WIT gave her wasn't just skills. It gave her the confidence to see what she was capable of.

Today she's the 2025 WIT Awards Single Mother Award winner and an IT analyst, and she's clear about what that means: "I stand in a position for all single mothers to show them that yes, we have hurdles to jump, but we can still accomplish the things that matter most to us."

The Single Mothers Program has since evolved into an alumni network, continuing to support and celebrate the women who have already done the work. If you're a Single Mothers Program graduate, the SMP Excellence Award was made for you.

The WIT Awards exist for one reason: to make women visible.

2025 finalist, Allison Giddens, said it better than we ever could. WIT reminds us that we didn't do this alone, and that we have a responsibility to speak each other's names when we're not in the same room. There is nothing quite like hearing your name, or a friend's name, celebrated on a stage full of people who are genuinely rooting for you.

"I came into this program somewhat lost about my field and not knowing anyone. I wanted to learn more about the different ways I could stand out. This mentorship program helped me learn what recruiters are looking for."

That's one voice from the Spring 2026 WIT Campus Mentorship Program. There are 54 more like it.

This spring, 55 college women and 14 industry mentors spent nine weeks together in structured small-group mentoring built around one goal: closing the gap between campus and a technology career.

The results:
94% left more confident in their job readiness
88% felt a stronger sense of belonging in tech
83% expanded their professional network
