Todays event to assist families with Infinite Campus from 2-5 p.m. is being moved to the Marietta Elementary School Cafeteria.

We will have staff on hand to help creating an IC account, resetting old passwords, showing families how to sign electronic documents and more!

Students will not be able to access electronic devices until all of their documents are signed, so please take advantage of this if you are having issues.

It's Friday and that means it's time for another Talking to Tigers! This Tiger is also new to our District but has been a welcome addition to our Administration team.

"Shane Freshour, originally from Parkersburg, WV"

2. How long have you taught/worked at Marietta and at what schools do you teach/work at?
"This is my first year at Marietta City Schools working at the Administration Building."

3. What do you teach/do and what have you taught/done at Marietta over the years?
"I am the District Testing Coordinator and work in Student Services."

4. What is your favorite food?
"I would say Lobster or Crab Legs which I rarely get to enjoy."

5. What is your favorite movie?
"I enjoy all the Harry Potter Movies."

6. What is your favorite book?
"The Little Prince by Antione de Saint-Exupery"

7. If you could do any other job, what would it be?
"I always thought it would be fun to work on a boat(fisheries like lobster or crab)."

"Family and Friends"

"My wife and I became foster parents a few years ago and encourage anyone who has ever thought about becoming foster parents to take the leap. It is desperately needed."

These tigers get to join elite company from all over the state to sing in January and we couldn’t be more proud!

Congratulations to these amazing student musicians! These students were selected by way of audition for participation in the Ohio Music Education Association All-State Choir. This year's event will be in January, and these three tigers will participate along with over 100 other amazing singers from all over the state. Way to stay fierce and focused!

Please be advised that in order to enter one of our buildings, visitors MUST HAVE a state issued ID with them. Our new Raptor Security System requires that an ID be scanned before access to a building is granted. This is a measure we have implemented to ensure the highest level of safety possible for our students in their learning environment.

It's Friday of the first full week of school and that means that Talking to Tigers is making its return for the 26-27 school year! Todays Tiger is in her first year as a teacher for our District, but she did spend time here as a student teacher here last year.

1. What is your name and where are you from originally?
"My name is Calli Hesson and I am from Caldwell, Ohio."

2. How long have you taught/worked at Marietta and at what schools do you teach/work at?
"This is my first year teaching at Marietta and I am at Washington Elementary."

3. What do you teach/do and what have you taught/done at Marietta over the years?
" I teach 2nd grade and I completed my Student Teaching Internship at MES last year in 3rd grade."

"My favorite food is buffalo chicken dip."

5. What is your favorite movie?
"My favorite movie is "The Last Song."

"My favorite book is Where the Crawdads Sing."

" If I could do any other job I would be a Flight Attendant."

Just an update that our internet service has been restored, communication services should be once again operating normally. We thank you for your understanding in the matter.

We are currently experiencing an internet outage that is District wide. This will affect teachers abillties to respond via rooms and may affect phones at some of our locations.

We are currently working alongside our provider to diagnose and fix the issue and will provide further updates when available. Thank you!
