Raider Families-

We need your help! Please take time to complete the Cognia parent survey. We are aiming to have 50% of Walton families complete the survey. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, October 16th.

The Cognia Student, Parent, and Staff Surveys are designed to collect data on student academic learning and wellness during the current school year. Participation in each survey is anonymous and voluntary, and participation is highly encouraged. The survey results will provide Cognia Accrediting Agency, Cobb County School District, and local schools with data regarding student learning environment, staff input, and parent feedback to support continuous learning.

Flashback to Saturday’s East Cobber Parade where we celebrated the Teacher of the Year Tara Cohen and the Certified Employee of the Year Laura Smith. Walton PTSA joins Dr. Santoro in congratulations to our TOTY and CEOTY! Big thanks to Larry Goldstein for volunteering the cool-Caddie ride.

Walton PTSA welcomed all our class of 2030 students at Thursday night’s Freshman Football game against Rome. Freshman got in free and were treated to a hot meal at concessions and given chances to win fabulous prizes (gift cards!). A strong 40-22 WIN was just icing on the cake! Way to show up Freshmen Raiders!

Congratulations to Walton’s 2026 Jackie Auerbach Award recipient, Ms. Heather Guiendon! 💙❤️

As lead coach of the Walton Robotics Team and a dedicated engineering educator, Heather inspires students daily through Advanced Engineering and Aerospace courses, STEM outreach, and mentorship. She creates an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to take risks, discover their strengths, and grow as leaders.

From hosting summer camps and Girls FIRST STEM nights to guiding students toward World Championship robotics competition and Governor’s Honors Program recognition, Heather’s impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Her passion for STEM education and commitment to supporting students make her an incredible role model for the Walton community.

We are so proud to recognize Ms. Heather Guiendon for the difference she makes in the lives of Walton students every day! 👏🤖✨

🏆🏆it’s award season! Walton PTSA was award membership awards as well as Model PTSA at our annual county awards banquet! Thank you to all of our PTSA members who helped us have a successful 2025-2026 school year! A big shout to all our committee chairs and Executive board members who made the magic happen this year! Here’s to an even better 2026-2027! We can’t do it without support from our Walton families! 🤩🤩

PTSA finished off a great week celebrating our teachers with a staff lunch! Teachers and staff were able to enjoy a bbq lunch outside with the help of our volunteers! Thank you to all who volunteered and donated to make it a great Teacher Appreciation Week!
