Cobb EMC Watch

Cobb EMC Watch Welcome to CobbEMCWatch.org, an initiative of the Cobb Alliance for Smart Energy (CASE).

Our goal is to help customers of Cobb EMC and the public at large stay informed and engaged in the issues facing the co-op. A fair and open democratic process is necessary to restore integrity to the co-op and ensure future business practices reflect what is in the best interests of the membership. To that end, we will provide members with notifications about upcoming meetings and elections, as we

ll as opportunities to learn more about upcoming ballot initatives and the candidates running for the board of directors. CASE is part of a broad coalition of Georgia groups that advocate the adoption of 21st Century polices based on efficiency and the use of alternative fuels to produce our energy. The evidence is now overwhelming that such policies are not only environmentally friendly, but point the way to a sound economic future for Georgia and the United States. In pursuit of our goal, we oppose the construction of new coal-fired power plants in Georgia, including the ones Cobb EMC and a handful of other EMCs want to build in Washington County and Ben Hill County.
