The Marietta Police Athletic League (PAL) is a member of the National PAL program designed to utilize sports as a basis for positive interaction between police officers and area youth, while providing youth a foundation for good decision making. y events. PAL currently sponsors a daily after school program and summer camp at the Lawrence Street Recreation Center in Marietta. PAL also sponsors a boys’ and girls’ basketball teams and a cheerleading program at the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy; as well as training programs in boxing, martial arts and track and field.
