Nonprofit providing: Adult Day Respite for 50+, Caregiver Education/Support for Dementia & Parkinson’s and those serving or dealing with physical/cognitive challenges. Includes fun and fellowship with peers, exercise designed for older adults, stimulating and creative activities, multigenerational programming and also a morning snack and noon meal.
2. To provide respite (an interval of rest or re
lief) for the caregivers. It supports the efforts of the family to keep a loved one in the home environment, thus contributing to the quality of life for the participants and their families. The availability of day respite can provide an alternative to inappropriate or premature placement outside of the home.
3. To offer caregiver support group opportunities. The purpose of the support group is to provide a safe environment to share emotions and experiences, give and receive emotional support, seek and give advice, and exchange practical information with others who are caring for an aging loved one.
4. To involve and train volunteers to become an integral and important part of the program. Training courses are identified, implemented, and offered periodically during the year.
