Heading to the Watch Party at Marietta Square? The crowd is already growing! Let's work together to make it a safe fun event!

For everyone’s safety, some helpful reminders:
• If you’re enjoying an alcoholic drink outdoors, it must be in a CLEAR PLASTIC CUP. This is required by city law.
• No alcohol is allowed outside the official borders of the Square. Please keep your drinks within the designated area.
• Speaking of alcohol... Please arrange for a taxi or ride share service if you plan to drink adult beverages at the party.
• Parking in private lots? Don’t forget to pay! Avoid tickets and make your evening stress-free. Most street spots are free, but the private lots vary by owner.

Let’s all do our part to keep Marietta Square safe, fun, and welcoming for everyone. See you at the Watch Party! 🎊

Is vacation time calling??

Before you head out on vacation:

*Ask a neighbor to keep an eye on your house.
*If you live in the city of Marietta, you can also request a home check while you are away. To do that, complete a “CITIZEN REQUEST” and ask for a “zone patrol” by following this link:
https://secure.mariettaga.gov/city/citizenrequest.aspx Choose “other” and then type your request, or you can email your zone major. More on that here:
https://www.mariettaga.gov/214/M-STAR-Zones

*Lock it up! Door, windows, cars, etc. Double check ALL of them.
*Stop the mail, the newspaper, and anything else you have delivered, like prescription medication. Don’t put your garbage cans out days early, see if your neighbor will put them out and bring them in for you.
*Make sure your house, yard, etc. don’t look like you are away. Don’t leave items laying around that could be used to break into your house.

Zone 1 is located in the southeast part of the city and encompasses Cobb Parkway South from South Marietta Parkway to the south city limits. It also encompasses Powers Ferry Road outside the Loop and Franklin Road outside the Loop. Barclay Circle is within Zone 1. Portions of the territory on South....
