The Compassionate Friends Marietta The Compassionate Friends exists to assist bereaved families following the death of a child of any age and from any cause.

We are a self help organization made up of family members that have walked this path of loss and grief. We hope by sharing our journey you will know you need not walk alone and there is hope further down the road. Any bereaved family member may become a member of The Compassionate Friends without regard to age, race, creed, social status, sex, or financial condition. The term "bereaved family" sha

ll include anyone who was in a parental, sibling, or grandparental relationship with a child who died, regardless of biological ties. The recommended minimum age is eighteen years old for a bereaved sibling to participate in a regular chapter meeting. At this time the Marietta Chapter does not have a separate siblings group. We do have two members that are fluent in Spanish. Please let us know ahead of time if this is a service that you need so we can make sure one of the members will be available.
