Had a great visit from Jacob Huck today. He stopped by to meet Firefighters Jared Ross and Ben Brown, along with the rest of shift 3 who was working the morning of a fire that injured Jacob and a second victim. Thanks to a quick response, removal of the victims by Ross and Brown, rapid treatment and transport to the ER, Jacob is on the road to a good recovery. Jacob wanted to meet Jared Ross and the rest of gang and give us his heartfelt thanks. This is what makes the job worthwhile and reminds us of why we train and stay ready for the next call. Thanks again for the visit Jacob Huck and prayers for continued healing.

Hadley Lane is closed due an accident with downed power and cable lines. Unknown how long the closure will be. DO NOT attempt to drive down the road! It’s going to take AEP several hours to make repairs.

We want to thank everyone that came out last night to the dine-to-donate first responder kids themed night at Texas Roadhouse Marietta Firefighters Local 442 vs Reno VFD rib eating contest. It was a close battle with the Reno VFD crew being the winners. It was a great evening for this event with no rain and the weather being slightly cooler than we have been having. Thank you Texas Roadhouse of Marietta for doing this event. As always we thank you all for your continued support you show us and all of our neighboring departments.
