This morning we swore in our newest member to Marietta Firefighters Local 442. Probationary Firefighter Luke Conaway next week will begin a month of day shifts completing his new hire packet before going to shift. We are happy to have him as part of our membership to serve our great community.

This morning we watched our newest member get sworn into the Marietta Fire Department. Probationary Firefighter Carter Porter next week will begin a month of day shifts completing his new hire packet before going to shift. We are happy to have him as part of our membership to serve our great community.

Over the last three days all three shifts have been putting more work in at our training center taking our confined space refresher class all while still answering every call for service we receive. We are thankful for having good weather for this class, the equipment we have, the membership we have, and as always the support we receive from our great community.

Over the last three days our members have been putting work in at our training center taking our yearly hazmat refresher class. We are thankful for the equipment we have, our membership, and the support we receive from our great community.

Yesterday we held a retiree dinner to honor all of our retired firefighters. We had a great turnout with plenty of laughs and stories told. Since 1894 we have been serving the community of Marietta and surrounding area. We want to thank every one of our retirees who came before us paving the way to the department we have now.
